Man City are at home and you know what that means for the FPL captaincy – give the armband to Erling Haaland.
The Norweigan is unsurprisingly the best pick but let’s take a look at whether anyone can challenge him in GW4.
Erling Haaland
- Fixture: Fulham (H)
- Anytime Return: 78%
- Predicted Points: 7.5
With a goal against Sheffield United, Haaland took his tally to three goals in as many games.
Last season’s top scorer has the second-highest xG (3) and has accumulated the third most shots on target per 90 (2.4).
In GW4, the Norwegian is up against Fulham at home, where the chances of him scoring are extremely good.
Fulham are vulnerable in defence, having the highest xGA in the league by far after three matches (9.5).
Once again, Haaland is the go-to captaincy pick.
Mohamed Salah
- Fixture: Aston Villa (H)
- Anytime Return: 59%
- Predicted Points: 6.2
Salah has three attacking returns so far, a goal and two assists, including an assist in the 2-1 win over Newcastle at the weekend.
Liverpool face Aston Villa in GW4, whom Salah has an excellent record against, getting 6 goals and four assists in 9 meetings.
He has the second-most goal-creating actions in the league this season (four).
The Egyptian, as we all know, is on penalties, but missed his effort against Bournemouth in GW3, before scoring the rebound.
Therefore, it’s possible he may not take the next one, however, he almost certainly will.
Bukayo Saka
- Fixture: Man Utd (H)
- Anytime Return: 38%
- Predicted Points: 4.9
Saka is on two goals for the season, the most of any Arsenal player.
The winger has the third-highest xGI (3.1), producing 16 shot-creating actions (8th most).
Furthermore, he’s taking set pieces and also took their last penalty, scoring against Fulham.
Arsenal take on Manchester United at the Emirates this gameweek. They have 6 points out of 9 but haven’t looked cohesive so far, so may struggle against last season’s runners-up.
Raheem Sterling
- Fixture: Nott’m Forest (H)
- Anytime Return: 52%
- Predicted Points: 5.0
Sterling is off the mark this season thanks to two goals and an assist against Luton, which made him the highest-scoring player of GW3 with 19 points.
He has 18 shot-creating actions (5th most), averaging 6.3 per 90.
Chelsea play Nottingham Forest in GW4 on the back of a promising win, so the confidence will be flowing and Sterling could demonstrate his quality for the second week in a row.
