Best Players to Pick From Man Utd for FPL DGW22

FPL GW22 is a double gameweek for Man Utd and Leeds, and with the former in excellent form, a triple-up on their assets is essential.

United, who have amassed 10 points in their last 5 league matches, winning three and drawing once, face Crystal Palace and Leeds – both at home.

Here are the best Man Utd players to transfer in for DGW22.

Bruno Fernandes

  • Price: £9.9m
  • Picked by: 8%

Fernandes has four goals and 5 assists this season, whose contribution has been overshadowed by Marcus Rashford.

The Portuguese midfielder has the third-highest xA in the league (7.2) and the 5th highest xGI amongst midfielders (10.7).

He ranks third for key passes (50), shot-creating actions (89), and goal-creating actions too (13).

Costing £9.9m he is a bit more expensive, but for a double gameweek with two home fixtures, he is worth it.

Being picked by only 8%, there is a lot of upside in owning Fernandes.

Marcus Rashford

  • Price: £7.2m
  • Picked by: 50%
Rashford Stats GW1 to GW21
Rashford’s FPL stats between GW1 and GW22

Rashford is an absolute essential for DGW22. The winger has 9 goals so far (6th most) as well as three assists.

His xG is 9.2, the 8th highest and the second highest out of all midfielders too, taking 49 shots overall with 23 on target (5th most)

He’s in a rich vein of form, scoring 10 goals in 10 in all competitions, and has the joint-most points in the last 5 gameweeks (46).

This makes him a potential triple captain candidate with the man seemingly unable to stop scoring lately.

Wout Weghorst

  • Price: £6.0m
  • Picked by: 1%

Weghorst will likely start both games of the double gameweek due to Martial’s absence, and could be a great differential.

He scored twice for Burnley last term, with one this campaign in the League Cup against Nottingham Forest.

The towering centre-forward may not be the most prolific, but with two home games in DGW22 he could get on the scoresheet.

He’s a huge presence in the box, especially from crosses and set-pieces being 6’6, averaging 1.5 shots per 90.

Luke Shaw

  • Price: £5.2m
  • Picked by: 23%

United have been strong at the back this season as well.

They have 8 clean sheets, keeping three in consecutive games from GW17 to 19. They have an xGA of 23.5 (5th lowest).

Shaw himself has a goal and two assists, with an xA of 1.9, the 8th highest of all defenders.

He’s also a bonus point magnet, picking up 10 this season including 8 in the aforementioned GW17 to 19 clean sheet run.

Casemiro

  • Price: £4.9m
  • Picked by: 3%

Casemiro has been a brilliant influence for United, scoring two and assisting three goals whilst being a dominant presence in midfield.

Per 90, he’s taking 1.3 shots and averaging 0.4 attacking returns.

His role is more box-to-box compared to his anchoring role at Real Madrid, enabling him to be more involved in the attacking phase, scoring two goals versus Reading in the cup this weekend.

At £4.9m he is a very cheap differential who can chip in with the odd return, especially in a double gameweek.

Don’t put too much stock into his two goals against Reading as one was a wicked deflection.
