Liverpool dominate 2018/19
Despite finishing second in the league, Liverpool players made up 5 of the top 6 FPL point scorers. They dominated the defensive charts more so though, with Andrew Robertson, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold making up the top three.
As a result, it is hard to see anything but price rises for these three, with Sadio Mane also receiving a significant price boost and Mohamed Salah maintaining the most expensive player in FPL accolade. Both could be moved to forwards but it is the Egyptian who seems more likely given his average position on the pitch. If he does he could even drop in price to £12.5m.
Each of the defence is predicted to be £7.0m and Sadio Mane could rise £2.0m to £11.5m.
Price rises for Sterling, Aubameyang and Aguero
Alongside, Raheem Sterling – Pierre Aubameyang and Sergio Aguero – both broke the 200 point barrier, consequently they should receive small price increases to £11.5m. Sterling is arguably the most valuable asset heading into FPL 2019/20, so he could rise to £12.0m.
Man Utd could be cheap
The only Man Utd player to finish in the top 20 scorers was Paul Pogba. With the Frenchman strongly linked with a move away from Old Trafford, the Man Utd squad won’t boast any particularly strong options for next season.
Outside of Marcus Rashford it is hard to see a player that will increase in price. This may present opportunity for FPL managers should Man Utd and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer start the season well.
