Gameweek 13 brings us our first mid-week fixture list of the Fantasy Premier League season. As we move closer towards Christmas, the Premier League fixtures will come think and fast. There are four more Gameweeks over the remaining two and a half weeks of December.
We’ve just finished a weekend where the underdogs prospered as none of the so-called ‘Big Six’ clubs won. A dull Manchester derby could have been a sign of things to come as fatigued looking players could result in a lot of squad rotation over the next few weeks.
The question now is which of these premium Fantasy Football assets to pick. To help these tough decisions, we look at each Premier League teams’ percentage chance of winning, the most likely goalscorers and any players that could be good differential options.

Wolves vs Chelsea
- Home Win: 18%
- Draw: 26%
- Away Win: 56%
Wolves lost against local rivals, Aston Villa, at the weekend which made it back to back defeats for them. New signing, Fabio Silva, stepped into Raul Jimenez’s boots as the sole striker. Although Wolves lost 1-0, Silva did have a few chances to help them get something from the game. Priced at £5.2m, the Portuguese teenager could be one to watch in the bargain bin.
Chelsea head to Wolves in Gameweek 13 and they too are hoping to bounce back after a disappointing 1-0 defeat. Chelsea couldn’t take their chances against Everton and an uncharacteristic goalkeeping error from Edouard Mendy gave their opponents the penalty which decided the game.
Goalscorer: Timo Werner 42%
- Home: 20%
- Away: 44%
Differential Pick: Edouard Mendy 44% Clean Sheet, 9.3% ownership (£5.2m)
Man City vs West Brom
- Home Win: 90%
- Draw: 7%
- Away Win: 3%
Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City took part is a dull and uneventful Manchester derby at the weekend which ended in a goalless draw. On the positive side for City, John Stones put in another top performance at the back. This was the Stones’ third start in a row and his third clean sheet in a row. At £4.8m, the English Centre Back could be a relatively cheap way to get those Man City clean sheet points. However, Guardiola is very likely to utilise his deep squad over the Christmas period so these starts may not continue for Stones.
Premier League strugglers, West Bromwich Albion, continued their poor start to the season as they lost 2-1 away at Newcastle. With just the one point on the road so far this season and the worst defensive record in the league, The Baggies will be dreading their Gameweek 13 fixture at Man City.
Goalscorer: Sergio Aguero 65%
- Home: 62%
- Away: 4%
Differential Pick: Phil Foden 44% to score, 4.5% ownership (£6.4m)
Arsenal vs Southampton
- Home Win: 43%
- Draw: 28%
- Away Win: 29%
Arsenal have now lost four games in a row at home after losing 1-0 to Burnley. The Gunners are desperate to replicate their Europa League form in the league. We may start to see Mikel Arteta drop regular starters to give a chance to other squad players. From a Fantasy Premier League perspective, this could open the door for some bargain and differential options.
Southampton take on Arsenal at The Emirates midweek, after their 3-0 win against Sheffield United moved them into a top four position. The Saints’ centre backs, Jan Bednarek and Jannik Vestergaard, continued to benefit from to delivery of James Ward-Prowse. Bednarek’s assist was the third attacking return in three games, between the pair.
Goalscorer: Danny Ings 44%
- Home: 29%
- Away: 23%
Differential Pick: Che Adams 24% to score, 7.1% ownership (£6.0m)
Leeds vs Newcastle
- Home Win: 54%
- Draw: 25%
- Away Win: 21%
Leeds United lost from a winning position at the weekend as West Ham’s 80th minute winner made it two defeats in a row for Leeds. Although striker, Patrick Bamford, failed to score at home again, he picked up an assist after winning the penalty which was converted. Once again, Leeds will play at Elland Road midweek so we will see if the frontman can pick up his second home goal of the season.
Newcastle United returned to the Premier League with a win over West Brom at the weekend. Dwight Gayle marked his return from injury with the winning goal in the 2-1 victory. Just as a reminder, Gayle scored four goals in the remaining eight Premier League games, when football returned last season. The striker is priced at £5.9m and could form a dangerous partnership with Callum Wilson. The Magpies head to Leeds in this round of fixtures.
Goalscorer: Patrick Bamford 43%
- Home: 38%
- Away: 18%
Differential Pick: Stuart Dallas 38% Clean Sheet, 7.3% ownership (£4.6m)
Leicester vs Everton
- Home Win: 44%
- Draw: 27%
- Away Win: 29%
Leicester City strolled to a 3-0 victory at home to Brighton at the weekend. Striker, Jamie Vardy, picked up his tenth goal of the season as well as his fourth and fifth assists. However, it was James Maddison who showed some of the form we saw last season as he scored two goals and claimed three FPL bonus points. This resulted in 16 points which was the highest amount of points, from any player in the Gameweek.

Everton will take on Leicester in their midweek fixture. The Toffees got back to winning ways against Chelsea as Gylfi Sigurdsson came back into the starting XI and found the back of the net from the penalty spot. The assist came from their in-form striker, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, which meant the striker has picked up attacking points in all but two Premier League games so far.
Goalscorer: Jamie Vardy 52%
- Home: 29%
- Away: 20%
Differential Pick: Richarlison 29% to score, 4.3% ownership (£7.8m)
Fulham vs Brighton
- Home Win: 33%
- Draw: 30%
- Away Win: 37%
The much-improved Fulham gave the champions, Liverpool, a run for their money and came away with a point in the 1-1 draw. Despite the late equaliser against Fulham, new centre back, Joachim Andersen, impressed again. The Cottagers will face Brighton in Gameweek 13, and a win will see them leapfrog their opponents and out of the relegation zone.
Brighton found themselves outclassed in their 3-0 defeat to Leicester City. Neal Maupay returned to the starting XI after an injury and he will be eyeing up the Gameweek 13 fixtures as a great chance to get back on the scoresheet. It’s also worth noting that The Seagull’s manager, Graham Potter, confirmed that Pascal Gross will be their main penalty taker going forward.
Goalscorer: Neal Maupay 32%
- Home: 29%
- Away: 31%
Differential Pick: Joachim Andersen 29% Clean Sheet, 0.0% ownership (£4.5m)
Liverpool vs Tottenham
- Home Win: 54%
- Draw: 25%
- Away Win: 21%
The Egyptian King, Mo Salah, saved some of the blushes for Liverpool at the weekend as he rescued a point with his penalty in their 1-1 draw against Fulham. The Reds were heavily tipped to run riot against Fulham but looked far from their best as they continued to rotate the squad due to injuries. Salah’s penalty took him to ten goals so far in his personal race for the Golden Boot.
Tottenham were also disappointed as they only came away with one point against Crystal Palace. Harry Kane has now been involved in 19 goals in the Premier League so far after he recorded his ninth goal of the season, which was assisted by Son Heung-Min. The pair look unstoppable and they face a big challenge midweek.
Gameweek 13 brings us a top-two clash as Tottenham take a trip to Anfield to take on the reigning Premier League Champions. The sides are joint on points in the league, with Tottenham in the top spot on goal difference. Head to head, Liverpool have won the previous five encounters with Spurs however, but this Jose Mourinho side is a far stronger.
Goalscorer: Mo Salah 49%
- Home: 33%
- Away: 17%
Differential Pick: Sadio Mane 42% to score, 8.5% ownership (£11.9m)
West Ham vs Crystal Palace
- Home Win: 46%
- Draw: 29%
- Away Win: 25%
West Ham United moved into the top six after their 2-1 win over Leeds United. It was a third goal in five games for The Hammers giant of a midfielder, Tomas Soucek. With a very reasonable price of £5.0m, Soucek is becoming the ‘enabler’ for plenty of Fantasy Premier League managers to free up the funds for the premium players.
Crystal Palace put in a solid second half performance to earn a 1-1 draw with Tottenham Hotspur. Their equaliser was assisted by Eberechi Eze and this made it three assists and a goal in five games for the Palace forward. Eze, priced at £5.8m, is a good differential option in midfield and is exciting to watch.
Goalscorer: Sebastien Haller 33%
- Home: 35%
- Away: 25%
Differential Pick: Vladimir Coufal 35% Clean Sheet, 2.5% ownership (£4.6m)
Aston Villa vs Burnley
- Home Win: 56%
- Draw: 25%
- Away Win: 19%
Aston Villa put in a great away performance against local rivals, Wolves, at the weekend. Their 94thminute penalty earned them a 1-0 victory and three points. Goalkeeper, Emiliano Martinez, stood out for the Villains as he made seven saves and was awarded three bonus points to go along with his fifth clean sheet of the season.
Villa will host Burnley midweek and their visitors moved out of the drop zone, thanks to a 1-0 win against out of form Arsenal. It was a much-needed win for The Clarets, who look a lot more solid in defence with the return of Nick Pope, alongside Ben Mee and James Tarkowski.
Goalscorer: Ollie Watkins 44%
- Home: 40%
- Away: 18%
Differential Pick: Matt Targett 40% Clean Sheet, 2.8% ownership (£4.5m)
Sheffield United vs Man United
- Home Win: 12%
- Draw: 20%
- Away Win: 68%
Struggling side, Sheffield United, stayed rock bottom of the league after another defeat. Southampton fired three goals against them without any returned. The Blades have still only scored five goals this season.
Manchester United go to Sheffield in Gameweek 13 after their goalless Manchester derby draw. United playmaker, Bruno Fernandes, will be the one to watch in this fixture as his away form has been outstanding this season. Fernandes registered five goals and five assists in five away games, averaging 11 points per game.
Goalscorer: Bruno Fernandes 42%
- Home: 14%
- Away: 49%
Differential Pick: Harry Maguire 49% Clean Sheet, 3.3% ownership (£5.4m)
