FPL Gameweek 21 Tips: Best Players to Transfer In

FPL GW21 gives us our first double gameweek of the season, so now is the time to get as many players that applies to as possible.

A DGW is a huge chance to recruit points, which may also occur in GW22, so be careful not to transfer out a potential DGW player, unless you’re playing a free hit this week.

Visit our DGW schedule page to keep up to date with the fixture rearrangements.

Best Players for FPL DGW21

The best players to transfer in this week are Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Jarrod Bowen and Michail Antonio.

The most transferred in players ahead of GW21 are Jarrod Bowen, Michail Antonio and Heung Min Son.

Naturally Antonio should have his own section below but he had previously been covered before the DGW announcement in our best FPL GW21 captains article.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin

  • Price: £7.9m
  • Picked by: 4%
  • Fixtures: Brighton (H), Leicester (H), Norwich (a)

Calvert-Lewin has three goals in as many games and, despite not playing since GW3, has the highest xG in the Everton team (3.8).

As well as scoring goals he’s provided 2.9 shot-creating actions and 0.36 goal-creating actions per 90, ranking him third in the team for both.

He’s on penalties, scoring two this campaign, and has averaged a non-penalty xG per shot of 0.25 (second best in the league).

In GW21 he has a double gameweek facing Brighton and Leicester, the latter of which are conceding 15.8 shots per game (third most).

Jarrod Bowen

  • Price: £6.6m
  • Picked by: 13%
  • Fixtures: Crystal Palace (a), Norwich (H), Leeds (H)

Another player with two games this gameweek is Jarrod Bowen.

He claimed three assists against Watford, taking his tally to 11 overall (most in the league).

Also, he’s scored three, taking 45 shots and having a npxG of 5.5 (9th highest).

Additionally, he’s made 30 key passes, 67 shot-creating actions and 16 goal-creating actions (second most).

In West Ham’s DGW they face Palace and then Norwich, which is why he’s the most bought player before the deadline.

Joshua King

  • Price: £5.8m
  • Picked by: 7%
  • Fixtures: Spurs (H), Newcastle (a), Norwich (H)

King has 5 goals and four assists, scoring 4.1 points per game.

His xG is 6.1 (9th highest in the league) plus an xA of 2, which are both the highest in the Watford team.

He only has one game in GW21, but he’s likely to double in GW22 as Watford have three matches to be rearranged.

Whilst his teammate Dennis is arguably the better option, there are reports FIFA are trying to prevent him from playing in the Premier League following a request from the Nigerian FA.

Demarai Gray

  • Price: £5.5m
  • Picked by: 10%
  • Fixtures: Brighton (H), Leicester (H), Norwich (a)

Just like his Everton colleague DCL, Gray is a great option for DGW21.

He had a flurry of good performances earlier in the season, but tailed off along with Everton’s form.

However, he’s the Toffee’s top scorer with 5 strikes, taking the most shots too (35).

As well as the goals he has two assists, 19 key passes, 43 shot-creating actions and four goal-creating actions.

He not only doubles in GW21, facing Brighton and Leicester, but he also has a chance of two games in GW22, including bottom side Norwich.
