Gameweek 25 Tips: Best Players to Transfer In

FPL GW25 is another double gameweek, albeit a small one, with Man United and Brighton both having two fixtures each.

That means United assets will be top of the list this week, but with their recent performances not inspiring much confidence which players are worth bringing in?

Best Players for FPL GW25

The best assets to bring in this week are Cristiano Ronaldo, Bruno Fernandes, Paul Pogba and David De Gea. The argument for Ronaldo is clear and as such we’re focusing the discussion around the other options.

The most bought players ahead of GW25 are Philippe Coutinho, Mohamed Salah and Jacob Ramsey.

Bruno Fernandes

  • Price: £11.7m
  • Picked by: 21%
  • Fixtures: Southampton (H), Brighton (H), Leeds (a)

Fernandes is the standout pick this gameweek, having two fixtures and is likely to be one of the most captained players.

He has 7 goals and 5 assists, holding the third highest xA (6.5), making 64 key passes (the most in the league) as well as 96 shot-creating actions (second most).

Both of his fixtures in GW25 are at home, where he’s scored 5 of his 7 goals and made one assist too, so he could record a big score this week.

Paul Pogba

  • Price: £7.4m
  • Picked by: 7%
  • Fixtures: Southampton (H), Brighton (H), Leeds (a)

Pogba has been out for most of the season and hasn’t featured since his red card against Liverpool in GW9.

However he still remains a good asset, getting 7 assists this season (fourth most in the league) and averaging 0.87 per 90 (the most).

He scored on his return against Burnley as well, meaning he’s averaged a return every 90 minutes this season, as well as one goal-creating action per 90 (most).

In GW25 he doubles, with two home games against Southampton and Brighton respectively.

David De Gea

  • Price: £5.3m
  • Picked by: 15%
  • Fixtures: Southampton (H), Brighton (H), Leeds (a)

Another United asset worth bringing in is David De Gea.

The ‘keeper has kept 5 clean sheets and made the most saves in the league (82), earning 7 bonus points so far.

He’s an excellent shot stopper, boasting the best post-shot xG – Goals Against in the league (9.5).

One of his GW25 opponents Brighton have only scored 23 goals this term (fourth fewest), which should give owners hope of a clean sheet in at least one of his matches.

Robert Sanchez

  • Price: £4.6m
  • Picked by: 18%
  • Fixtures: Watford (a), Man United (a), Burnley (H)

Sanchez is owned by more managers than DDG despite having scored 17 fewer points.

However, the Spaniard is a good option for GW25 due to Brighton’s double, keeping 6 clean sheets and making 59 saves this campaign (8th most in the league).

Brighton have only been conceding an average of one goal per 90 and have only allowed 12.1 shots per game (the 5th fewest).

He has two games, one against Watford, who haven’t scored in their last two matches, and Man United, who aren’t playing well and also Brighton raise their game against the top sides, drawing with Liverpool, Arsenal, and twice with Chelsea.

Furthermore, Brighton’s fixture difficulty is appealing even after their double gameweek.
