FPL Gameweek 29 Preview

Gameweek 29 Preview

We will be previewing each Fantasy Premier League Gameweek throughout the season. Team fixtures, captain choices and which players to transfer in/out will all be discussed. Here is our FPL Gameweek 29 preview.

Gameweek 29 Fixtures

Tottenham can boast the most attractive fixture for Gameweek 29. They host Huddersfield. After a bad spell of consecutive losses Huddersfield have regained some form, winning their last two. Nonetheless Tottenham are this weekend’s biggest favorites to win. Just behind them are Liverpool, who are at home to Newcastle. Their expected victory is compounded by the fact they are the only top 6 team to have a fixture in Gameweek 31. Elsewhere, the biggest game comes in the form of Man City vs Chelsea. The Premier League title race may be over but Chelsea are in desperate need of at least a point after falling out the Champions League places. Given Man City’s goal scoring prowess it is difficult not to see goals in this one. One of those teams competing for Champions League spots is Man Utd, who travel to London to face Crystal Palace. Crystal Palace were able to provide Tottenham with stiff competition at home so Man Utd can expect something similar. Other teams that FPL managers will be earmarking for points are Arsenal away to Brighton, Southampton at home Stoke and finally Watford hosting West Brom.

Gameweek 29 Captain Choice

With Tottenham at home to Huddersfield we can’t look any further than Harry Kane for our Gameweek 29 captain pick.

Harry Kane

Harry Kane at home to Huddersfield is a captain option that is hard to turn down. He has scored 6 goals in his last 6 league games. He is a best price of 4/7 on to score against Huddersfield. This makes him, at least according to the bookmakers, the most likely scorer in Gameweek 29.

Mohamed Salah

Mohamed Salah is really the only competition for a Harry Kane captaincy this week. He now boasts three consecutive double digit FPL returns, scoring four goals in the process. Rafa Benitez always has his team prepared away to the top 6 so Liverpool might have to be patient. However, if Liverpool do break Newcastle early and do go on to score a few, Mohamed Salah will more than likely be involved.

Players In and Players Out

Here are the top 5 players you should be transferring in and out of your team prior to the Gameweek 29 deadline. If you expect a player to go down after a given Gameweek it is wise to transfer him out early to avoid the likely price decrease. Likewise it is sensible to transfer in a player early that you believe will go up in price before the deadline. These top 5 are based on potential price changes, fixtures and general form. We will also try and offer players from different teams.

  • Harry Kane
  • Roberto Firmino
  • Nathan Ake
  • Andrew Robertson
  • Ahmed Hegazi

Players Out
