Gameweek 29 Tips: Best Players to Transfer In

Once again we have another double gameweek in FPL GW29, with 6 sides playing twice.

The main assets this week are Tottenham players, who in recent weeks have racked up 4-0 and 5-0 victories over Leeds and Everton respectively. With Liverpool doubling also, many won’t want to go into DGW29 without three of their players.

Best Players for FPL DGW29

The best assets to bring in for DGW29 are Mohamed Salah, Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son.

The most transferred in players ahead of DGW29 are Bukayo Saka, Dejan Kulusevski and Harry Kane.

Mohamed Salah

  • Price: £13.2m
  • Picked by: 62%
  • Fixtures: Brighton (a), Arsenal (a), BLANK

With a double gameweek, Salah will almost certainly be the most captained player in DGW29, and possibly triple captained by some.

The stats speak for themselves, he’s the league’s top scorer (19), scoring 0.79 per 90, and has 11 assists too, averaging 1.21 returns per 90 (most in the league).

He’s the penalty taker for Liverpool and has the highest xG in the league (17.3) as well as the second highest non-penalty xG (13.4).

In the double he faces Brighton and Arsenal away, having scored against the latter 8 times throughout his career.

However, he doesn’t have a fixture in GW30 so bare that in mind if you decide to bring him in.

Harry Kane

  • Price: £12.3m
  • Picked by: 16%
  • Fixtures: Man Utd (a), Brighton (a), West Ham (H)

Despite a slow start to this campaign Kane is now on 10 goals, scoring the most points of any asset in the last 6 gameweeks (45).

He has the 5th highest xG (12.2), taking 83 shots (second most in the league) including 35 on target.

In recent seasons he’s added creativity to his game, claiming two assists this season but producing 11 goal-creating actions and playing 11 through balls (fourth most).

This week he faces Man United and Brighton, with the latter in poor form losing their last four.

Heung-Min Son

  • Price: £10.8m
  • Picked by: 21%
  • Fixtures: Man Utd (a), Brighton (a), West Ham (H)

Son is Spurs’ top scorer with 11 goals, assisting 7 as well and averaging 0.73 returns per 90.

His npxG is 9 (6th highest in the league) and also has the fourth highest xA (6.4).

He’s landed 28 shots on target (51% overall), made 47 key passes (6th most) and had 83 shot-creating actions.

Opponents Man United and Brighton both play a high defensive line, leaving space in behind for Son to exploit which could lead to another high scoring week for the Korean.

Bukayo Saka

  • Price: £6.5m
  • Picked by: 23%
  • Fixtures: Leicester (H), Liverpool (H), Aston Villa (a)

In the best season of his career he’s scored 8 and set up 6 goals, the most at Arsenal this term.

He has the highest npxG+xA in the team too (10.3), showing what an important player he is for the Gunners.

The winger has supplied 90 shot-creating actions (6th most in the league), 4.24 per 90, 59 shots and 38 carries into the box (7th).

Arsenal also double this week, facing Leicester and Liverpool at the Emirates where they’ve been strong, picking up the most points at home behind Liverpool and Man City (29).

Dejan Kulusevski

  • Price: £6.1m
  • Picked by: 4%
  • Fixtures: Man Utd (a), Brighton (a), West Ham (H)

Another Spurs asset worth considering for their double is Kulusevski.

The Swede has two goals and three assists since arriving from Juventus, averaging 1.06 returns per 90.

He has been recording a npxG+xA per 90 of 0.67 too, just behind teammates Kane and Son (0.69 + 0.7 respectively) and could be better value at just £6.1m.

In front of goal he’s been clinical, scoring from 67% of his shots on target (third highest in the league), as well as producing 3.18 shot-creating actions and 1.06 goal-creating actions per 90.

Being owned by just 4% of players he could prove to be an important differential for DGW29.
