There were so many hauls, including a 19-pointer from Phil Foden, so there are lots of in-form players to consider bringing in for GW10.

Here are the best players to transfer in this week.

Phil Foden

  • Price: £8.1m
  • Picked by: 11%
  • Fixtures: Southampton (H), Liverpool (a), GW12 Blank, Brighton (H)

Foden hit a superb hat-trick against Man United, taking him onto 5 goals for the campaign.

He also has three assists, meaning he’s averaging 1.2 attacking returns per 90 (fourth most).

The 22-year-old has the third most goal-creating actions in the league (6), as well as 27 shot-creating actions and 9 shots on target too (both 9th most).

Man City are the league’s leading scorers with 29 goals, scoring 9 more than the next top scorers, Arsenal.

Therefore, having another City attacker alongside Haaland is crucial.

Of course, there’s always the issue of Pep Roulette. However, Foden has started every league game this season so far.

Antony

  • Price: £7.5m
  • Picked by: 6%
  • Fixtures: Everton (a), Newcastle (H), Spurs (H)

Antony has caught the eye upon arrival in the Premier League. He has scored twice in as many games against excellent sides, Arsenal and Man City.

The Brazilian has had the most shots on target per 90 for United (2.5) and is known for scoring goals during his time at Ajax, averaging 0.44 per 90 across his two seasons in Amsterdam.

United play Everton next in a tough game, but one they will expect to win, before back-to-back home games against Newcastle and Spurs.

It’s very early to judge him, but he could be a great differential for future gameweeks, especially with Arsenal and Man City blanking in GW12.

Wilfried Zaha

  • Price: £7.3m
  • Picked by: 18%
  • Fixtures: Leeds (H), Leicester (a), Wolves (H)

Zaha is Palace’s top scorer, netting four times so far, and also has the third highest xG amongst midfielders (3.1).

He has 13 carries into the box (6th most) and is the second most fouled player in the league (21 times).

This stat could result in him winning a lot of penalties too, which he takes as well.

The Eagles have some great fixtures on the horizon, facing only one team with a FDR above two until the new year.

Reece James

  • Price: £6.0m
  • Picked by: 38%
  • Fixtures: Wolves (H), Aston Villa (a), Brentford (a)

Reece James is a complete full-back, excelling from a defensive and attacking point of view.

He has the highest xGI amongst defenders (2.2), including the second highest xA in the Chelsea team (1.6), with both Aubameyang and Sterling to pick out.

Chelsea’s next opponent is Wolves, who are the lowest scorers in the divisions (three goals), whilst having the fewest shots on target per game too (3.1).

After that, they face Villa who couldn’t score against a Leeds team down to 10 men this weekend.

His current points total doesn’t reflect his quality but that will change soon enough.
