Martin Odegaard

  • Price: £6.9m
  • Picked by: 32%
  • Fixtures: Everton (a), Brentford (H) + Man City (H), Aston Villa (a)

First of all, Arsenal players are still worth bringing in this gameweek despite having just one fixture.

They have a good fixture in GW22 and a double gameweek next week; Odegaard is the Arsenal player most likely to rise in price.

The Norwegian is the Gunners’ top scorer with 8 this season, with 6 assists too.

His xA is 6, the fourth highest in the league, providing 39 key passes (7th most), 11 goal-creating actions (fourth most), and 86 shot-creating actions at a rate of 5.1 per 90 (third most).

Arsenal are in great form, not just sitting at the top of the league table, but the form table too with 13 points from their last 5 matches.

Rodrigo

  • Price: £6.4m
  • Picked by: 9%
  • Fixtures: Nottingham Forest (a) + Man Utd (a), Man Utd (H), Everton (a)

Update: Until further news, don’t transfer Rodrigo in. There are rumours he has picked up an injury.

Rodrigo is Leeds’ top scorer with 10 goals, ranking him 5th in the league overall as well.

His xG is 7.1, which is the fourth highest out of all midfield assets in the game, taking 52 shots in total (6th most).

They face Nottingham Forest and Man Utd in the double gameweek.

Forest have conceded the second most goals so far this campaign, letting in 35.

Kieran Trippier

  • Price: £6.1m
  • Picked by: 69%
  • Fixtures: West Ham (H), Bournemouth (a), Liverpool (H)

Another single gameweek player is this year’s star asset, Kieran Trippier.

He has a goal and 5 assists, scoring 141 points overall (second most), and is the most valuable asset too, scoring 23.1 points per million.

The full-back is a chance creation machine, ranking second highest for xA (7.8), key passes (59), and shot-creating actions (100).

This is mainly due to being the set-piece taker with excellent delivery, taking the most corners (106) and making the most crosses (199).

Interestingly, Trippier has been unlucky with his 5 assists based on his xA of 7.8, suggesting his points total could be even higher!

Newcastle face West Ham, who’ve scored fourth fewest goals (17), whilst Newcastle have conceded the fewest goals (11).

Wilfried Gnonto

  • Price: £5.0m
  • Picked by: 1%
  • Fixtures: Nottingham Forest (a) + Man Utd (a), Man Utd (H), Everton (a)

Gnonto has a goal and assist in the league this term, averaging 0.3 attacking returns per 90, as well as two goals in the FA Cup.

The Italian international has averaged, per 90, 1.8 shots, 3.5 shot-creating actions, and 0.7 goal-creating actions (third most in the team).

It’s not unlikely that he could score against Forest, with United being the much tougher fixture in DGW22.

With 1% ownership Gnonto is an exciting differential for the double.
