Cristiano Ronaldo

  • Price: £12.2m
  • Picked by: 20%
  • Fixtures: Arsenal (a), Chelsea (H), Brentford (H)

Ronaldo is in form, scoring 35 points in his last 5 gameweeks (fourth most in the league) in United’s quest for top four.

He has 15 goals (third most), averaging 0.64 per 90, with only two coming from the penalty spot.

United’s number 7 is regularly involved in attacks, taking 4.12 shots per 90 (second most) and has the third highest non-penalty xG per 90 as a result (0.65).

His impressive form is largely down to the fact he’s scored back-to-back hat-tricks at home. Two of his next three games are at Old Trafford.

In DGW34 he faces Arsenal and Chelsea, scoring twice this season against the former in the reverse fixture.

Mason Mount

  • Price: £7.7m
  • Picked by: 18%
  • Fixtures: West Ham (H), Man Utd (a), Everton (a)

Mount has 10 goals and assists each this season, including three of each in his last 5 matches, averaging 0.93 returns per 90.

He’s taken 53 shots this season (most in Chelsea team) and manages 1.17 on target per 90 (second most in team).

As well as that he’s the club’s leader for key passes (44), amassing 81 shot-creating actions and 12 goal-creating actions too.

Chelsea are strong from set-pieces, scoring from 11 this term, and Mount is the corner taker, providing another avenue for potential assists.

Their double gameweek includes facing West Ham and Man United, but Mount has played a lot in all competitions recently so rotation is possible.

Joao Cancelo

  • Price: £7.1m
  • Picked by: 40%
  • Fixtures: Watford (H), Leeds (a), Newcastle (H)

With one goals and 9 assists, Cancelo is the second highest scoring defender with 179 points.

Usually deployed at left-back, he steps into midfield during build up and becomes a playmaker, accumulating the most touches this season (3094).

Also, he’s provided 86 crosses (third most in the league), 81 passes into the box (most) and 114 carries into the final third (most).

He is good value, achieving the fourth highest points per million in FPL (25.21), and importantly is a regular starter for Guardiola.

When starting matches he has completed the full 90 on all but one occasion.

James Maddison

  • Price: £7.0m
  • Picked by: 18%
  • Fixtures: Aston Villa (H), Spurs (a), Everton (H), Norwich (H)

Maddison has 8 goals and 8 assists, scoring him 25 points in his last four gameweeks (9th most in the league).

He is Leicester’s creative hub, supplying 14 goal-creating actions this term, averaging 0.62 per 90 (6th most).

The midfielder has outscored his xG + xA by 6.36, hitting 26 shots on target (8th most), which is both a reflection of his ability to score long-range efforts and a hint of good fortune.

In GW34 he faces Villa, who he’s got two goals and two assists against from 8 meetings during his career.

He’s a good pick for those without a wildcard left as he has back-to-back double gameweeks in GW36 and GW37.
