Although Tottenham finished second in the league they actually scored the most and conceded the least goals in the Premier League last season. Their home record of 17 wins and no defeats, whilst conceding just 9 in the process, is an astounding record. It should be noted that Tottenham will be playing their home goals at Wembley this season.

Tottenham Players to Pick for FPL
Tottenham players will be picked in abundance to begin the season. Their relatively thin squad, excellent goal scoring and defensive record are all contributing factors to this. Their thin squad is a positive in the fact it makes predicting their lineup easier.
Tottenham Defence
With the exit of Kyle Walker, Kieran Trippier will be looking to be build on an impressive second half to last season. The now £5.5m rated right back offers attacking threat. However, he picked up an ankle injury in Tottenham’s last pre-season game and is now a doubt to start. Danny Rose (£6.5m) is also recovering from an injury so Ben Davies (£5.5m) will be expected to start the season at left back. Tottenham’s centre backs pick themselves with Toby Alderweireld (£6.0m) and Jan Vertonghen (£6.0m). They scored 120 and 126 points respectively last season.
Tottenham Midfielders
There is a large points discrepancy between Tottenham’s defensive midfield players and attacking. Only one of Tottenham’s defensive midfielders broke the 100 point barrier. Victor Wanyama (£5.0m) would be a certain starter if fit but a knee injury will likely see Eric Dier (£5.0m) replace him to start the season. The consistent Mousa Dembele (£5.0m) will partner him. Tottenham’s star midfielders, both priced £9.5m, Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen comfortably scored more than 200 FPL points last season. Both were in the top 6 overall scorers. Given this they are both relatively cheap and therefore good value options at £9.5m. Heung-Min Son also contributed to Tottenham’s season with 14 Premier League goals. He would be a starter but an injury is likely to see the £5.5m priced Moussa Sissoko come into the team on the right flank.
Tottenham Forwards
For Fantasy Premier League purposes there is only one Tottenham forward – Harry Kane. He is the most expensive player in FPL at £12.5m. His 29 Premier League goals and 7 assists justifies this price tag. Despite this price tag he is still picked by 36.0% of FPL managers. Picking him will require sacrifices elsewhere but not selecting him may be the greater risk. Vincent Janssen (£7.5m) will play back up forward to Harry Kane which means he will have limited minutes. Needless to say Vincent Janssen is an FPL player to avoid unless Harry Kane were to get injured.
