FPL Gameweek 16 Tips

With a lot of rotation in play for the midweek fixtures, the average score for Gameweek 15 was down to just 45 points. Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino, Romelu Lukaku and Alexandre Lacazette were just some of the big hitters to start on the bench. Meanwhile, Sergio Aguero and Andrew Robertson missed out entirely. The curse of the most transferred in player resumed this week. Pierre Aubameyang has rose an incredible £0.4m this calendar week. He could only manage two points at Old Trafford though. His next few fixtures will do nothing to quell the enormous transfer in numbers he is receiving. Riyad Mahrez was the best performing player of the week with just 13 points. His goal and assist resulted in an extra three bonus points.

Gameweek 16 Captain Choice

Pierre Aubameyang is statistically the best captain choice for Gameweek 16. Arsenal teammate Alexandre Lacazette isn’t far behind but presents more of a risk in terms of starting. Aubameyang is the highest scoring forward in FPL with 10 goals and 3 assists to his name. On average Huddersfield have conceded more than two goals away from home this season.

Elsewhere, Harry Kane appears to be back on form. He scored and assisted in Gameweek 15 which should give FPL managers the confidence to captain him away from Leicester, a team he has a successful record against.

A player not in quite as good form is Mohamed Salah. In truth he has performed very well but is a victim of his tremendous success last season. He came off the bench to assist against Burnley and it is this rest that should secure his start against Bournemouth.

Finally, £7.1m Richarlison is also a captain option against Watford. He scored against Newcastle in midweek and may well be recalled to the number 9 position on Monday night.

Whilst neither Aubameyang or Lacazette are guaranteed to start, either of these would be our captain choice. A slight preference would given to Aubameyang.
