Gameweek 20 is the second of three gameweeks in a 6 day period. Rotations could prove frustrating for FPL managers. Furthermore, it is the last week to use the first wildcard. In this preview we look at fixture difficulty for all teams including the percentage chance of winning, drawing and clean sheets. We then go through the top captain choices for Gameweek 20. Our fixture analysis currently goes up to Gameweek 27 which you can check out here: Fixture Difficulty Analysis.
FPL Gameweek 20 Tips
Gameweek 19 averaged 59 points. This is the second highest scoring gameweek this season, behind Gameweek 2. Coming off the back of a 5-1 demolition of Cardiff, Marcus Rashford was the most transferred in player. Despite a home fixture to Huddersfield, the curse of the most transferred in continued as he only scored two points. The most popular captain was going to be either Mohamed Salah or Harry Kane. It was the Egyptian who got the nod from most FPL managers. He didn’t disappoint as he returned 12 points for the second gameweek running. The best performing player of Gameweek 19 was a surprise in Kyle Walker-Peters. Drafted in ahead of Kieran Trippier and Serge Aurier, the third choice right back provided a hat-trick of assists on his way to an 18 point haul!

Gameweek 20 Captain Choice
Statistically, Harry Kane is the best captain choice for Gameweek 20. His appeal is strengthened by the fact he was substituted late against Bournemouth. Moreover, he missed the majority of the Gameweek 16 fixture against Leicester. Consequently, we will be captaining Kane this week.
Elsewhere, the always on form Mohamed Salah, is more than 50% to score. Despite being against top 4 contenders Arsenal, Liverpool’s top scorer is odds on to score. He is currently the top points scorer in Fantasy Premier League.
Another contender who may not be considered as much as he should is Sergio Aguero. The Argentinian started his first Premier League game since Gameweek 13 against Leicester. Man City are in desperate need of wins and this may increase the likelihood of Aguero starting. This is the biggest obstacle with Aguero in FPL.
Eden Hazard scored his second double digit haul in the last three gameweeks. He has now scored 30 points over those three. Chelsea are away to Crystal Palace but this might not deter some FPL managers from captaining him.
Differential options for the Gameweek 20 captaincy are Man Utd attackers. Paul Pogba and Jesse Lingard are perhaps the primary options here as they are the most likely starters. Marcus Rashford faces competition from the returning Romelu Lukaku. Also, Anthony Martial’s place in the team is in question due to injury.
