Gameweek 5 Captain Choice

Once again, it is difficult to look beyond Sergio Aguero for the Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 5 captaincy. The usual, lingering doubt in the back of FPL manager’s minds as to whether he will be benched remain but nonetheless he is clearly the stand out captain choice. The bookies give him a 68% chance of scoring. The other usual captain contenders, Harry Kane and Mohamed Salah, face each other on Saturday lunchtime. They are both around 50% to score in a match where Liverpool, to the surprise of some, are favorites. Naturally Chelsea vs Cardiff is the other stand out fixture for captains where Eden Hazard and even Marcos Alonso will tempt some FPL managers. The 19.9% who own Hazard could well be tempted to captain him, even over Aguero, given the fixture.

Gameweek 5 – Transfers In and Out

Man City’s good run of fixtures seems to be going on forever. As a result both Benjamin Mendy and Sergio Aguero should be transferred in if possible. Elsewhere, Chelsea also have good fixtures, although they do face both Liverpool and Man Utd at home in the coming weeks. Eden Hazard is the name that stands out to take advantage of this. Furthermore, Romelu Lukaku seems to be hitting form just when Man Utd’s fixtures improve.
