Gameweek 9 Tips
FPL Gameweek 8 provided an average Fantasy Premier League in terms of points. The average was 50. With a home fixture for Cardiff, Harry Kane was the most popular captain choice for the first time this season. The other weeks either had Mohamed Salah or Sergio Aguero as the most captained player. To the surprise of all FPL managers, the Tottenham striker only provided one point. Despite an away fixture to Southampton and with the likes of Tottenham at home to Cardiff, Eden Hazard was the most transferred in player. This proved to be a wise decision as he returned 14 points on the Gameweek. This marked his fourth double digit return of the season!

Gameweek 9 Captain Choice
The Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 9 captaincy isn’t as easy as it appears. We’ve left out Alexandre Lacazette and Raheem Sterling but they are certainly options. Based on the odds, Sergio Aguero is the front runner for the Gameweek 9 captaincy but it’s unlikely he will play the 90 minutes. Even worse, there are always lingering fears he could be rested ahead of Man City’s important Champions League fixture. Away to Huddersfield Mohamed Salah will be another tempting option but news surrounding his injury he picked up for Egypt is eagerly aniticipated. Indications are that he will be available though. On the assumption they both start Harry Kane is equally likely to score as Salah is. With all this said it might end up being the on form Eden Hazard who is most captained despite a difficult fixture against Man Utd. Here’s how Eden Hazard, Harry Kane, Mohamed Salah and Sergio Aguero compare.

Gameweek 9 – Transfers In and Out
There options for transfer in, in Gameweek 9 are clear. Eden Hazard might be in the best form of his life and also has good fixtures to come. There is also the bonus that he is notably cheaper than Mohamed Salah and Harry Kane. Marko Arnautovic is another player at £7.0m who is difficult to ignore. He has already found the net four times this season despite a run of horrendous fixtures. Elsewhere, Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre Aubameyang have been among the goals and assists in regularity this season. The former has become a certain starter along with Aubameyang. Arsenal have three of the their next four fixtures at home. Finally, we have included Newcastle’s Kenedy as a differential option. He scored his first goal of the season against Man Utd in Gameweek 8 and Newcastle now, finally, have a good run of fixtures.
