Many people will have chosen to Triple Captain Erling Haaland during DGW20 for the games against Man United (a) and Tottenham (H).
For those that chose to resist the urge to Triple Captain the Norwegian, double gameweek 22 could be the right time.
Rashford DGW22
Marcus Rashford has been scoring goals for fun in recent weeks and that does not look like stopping any time soon.
The England international has bagged 9 goals from 20 league games which is almost a goal every two games.
DGW22 sees Man Utd face Crystal Palace and Leeds with both fixtures are being played at home.
The 25-year-old has found the back of the net in 9 of his last 10 games at Old Trafford meaning he has been even more dangerous in home games.
Crystal Palace and Leeds present a good opportunity for Rashford to rake in the points as they are extremely favourable fixtures on paper.
These games are far better than the ones faced by Haaland in DGW20.
Due to his brilliant form and influence on the team currently, Rashford will almost definitely start both games barring injury.
It shouldn’t come as a surprise that he is DGW22 highest projected points scorer.
Differential Triple Captain Fernandes
Triple captaining a Manchester United player for DWG22 could be the best shout but could Bruno Fernandes be the best option?
The midfielder has been selected by 40% fewer FPL players than his club teammate, Rashford.
To stand out from the crowd, taking a gamble Bruno could really set you apart.
Fernandes has also been in very good form with a goal contribution in his last 5 games in all competitions.
He even scored against upcoming opponents, Crystal Palace, in the reverse fixture recently.
He has a total of 8 goal contributions in the Premier League this season.
It is worth noting Fernandes could be used in a deeper role than normal with Christian Eriksen now out with injury.
Wait for Haaland
Erling Haaland has scored 4 hat-tricks in the Premier League season on his way to 25 goals.
FPL players may want to resist the growing urge to use their Triple Captain chip during DGW22 in order to use it on Haaland.
Man City have games against Aston Villa (H) and Arsenal (a) in DGW23 which is a mixed bag.
Aston Villa at home should be reasonable enough to handle but title rivals Arsenal have a tough defence to crack.
Haaland will start both games if fit and is likely to net at least once per game.
Depending on how far Man City make it in the FA Cup, there are potential double gameweeks in future also.
There is a chance of GW34 seeing City play against Fulham (a) and Brighton (a) / West Ham (H) which are better fixture on paper than DGW23.
GW37 sees City face Chelsea (H) and possible Brighton (a) / West Ham (H).
Given Rashford’s form and the fixtures, it would be hard to argue against anyone opting to use their Triple Captain chip in DGW22.
Equally though, we couldn’t argue with anyone waiting to use it on Haaland down the line.
It’s a pure 50/50 decision.
