FPL Gameweek 30 Preview – Tips, Fixtures, Stats – 20/21

We’re back from the international break and straight into Gameweek 30. As the season comes closer to its conclusion, every week will bring hugely important fixtures.

In the last Premier League Gameweek, Tottenham took a big step towards a top six finish whilst Brighton took a big step towards safety.

As always, we look at each Premier League teams’ percentage chance of winning, the most likely goalscorers and where you can find those coveted clean sheets.

Chelsea vs West Brom

Chelsea return to Premier League action this week after their last match ended in a goalless draw with Leeds United. The result made it ten games undefeated under Thomas Tuchel and eight clean sheets in this time. £4.7m defender, Andreas Christensen is now averaging 7.5 FPL points per game, based on form.

In Gameweek 30, Chelsea host West Brom at Stamford Bridge. The bottom three side lost 1-0 to Crystal Palace in their last outing. This left the Baggies ten points from safety with nine games remaining.

Leeds vs Sheffield United

Leeds United’s last match ended in a 2-1 victory over Fulham. Striker, Patrick Bamford picked up his 14th goal and 9th assist of the season. Bamford now has the second highest points from any FPL forward so far.

Bottom of the league, Sheffield United, take on Leeds this week in an all-Yorkshire clash. The Blades’ first match without Chris Wilder ended in a 5-0 defeat to Leicester City. Sheffield now have just one goal from the last five league matches.

Leicester vs Man City

Leicester City recorded a thumping 5-0 win over Sheffield United in their last game to keep the momentum in their challenge for a top four spot. Kelechi Iheanacho bagged a hattrick and 17 points. Owned by just 3.0% of FPL teams, the £5.7m striker is averaging 9.2 point per game, based on form.

After beating bottom of the league, Leicester’s next fixture will be against top of the league, Man City. The Citizen’s beat Fulham 3-0 in their last match where Premier League legend, Sergio Aguero, scored his first goal of the season after struggling with reoccurring injuries.

Arsenal vs Liverpool

Arsenal staged a thrilling comeback in their 3-3 draw with West Ham. The Gunners managed to salvage a point after being 3-0 down and have Alexandre Lacazette to thank. The French striker assisted one before heading in the late equaliser and now has three goals from the last four games.

Liverpool head to the Emirates this weekend after their 1-0 win over Wolves. Midfielder, Diogo Jota scored the only goal of the game to boost Liverpool’s hopes of a top four finish. It was Jota’s sixth league goal of the campaign, which is a respectable record since he’s only started in seven matches and featured in 12.

Southampton vs Burnley

Southampton suffered another blow in a season to forget as they lost 2-1 to Brighton. Owned by just 5.3% of FPL managers, Che Adams scored for the third game running. The defeat dragged the Saints towards a relegation battle and this Gameweek could see them fall even closer.

Burnley, who sit level on points with Southampton, take them on in Gameweek 30. The Clarets arrive following a 2-1 away win against Everton. Chris Wood found the net for the second week running which made it six for the season for the New Zealand striker.

Newcastle vs Tottenham

  • Home Win: 15%

Newcastle continued their poor run of form in their last match by losing 3-0 to Brighton. The defeat made it six games without a win for the Magpies, which sees them sit just two points above the relegation zone.

In Gameweek 30, Tottenham got back to winning ways by beating Aston Villa 2-0. Talisman, Harry Kane, scored his 17th goal of the season and the England captain is now averaging 7.5 points per game based on form.

Aston Villa vs Fulham

Aston Villa move further from the European spots after losing 2-0 to Tottenham. Without injured Jack Grealish, the Villains have only managed one win out of six. Their captain, Grealish, has a reported 75% chance of returning after the International break.

This Gameweek, Villa host a Fulham side who are fighting for a place in the Premier League. Their survival hopes took a hit as they lost 2-1 to Leeds United. Centre back, Joachim Andersen, scored their only goal of the game. With a recent run of clean sheets, £4.5m Andersen is averaging 4.2 points per game based on form.

Man United vs Brighton

  • Home Win: 59%

Manchester United grinded out a 1-0 win over West Ham in their last game to move them closer to securing a top four position. Luke Shaw picked up nine FPL points with the Red Devils’ fourth clean sheet in a row.

Brighton will face Man United at Old Trafford this week after they made it back-to-back wins in their last game. Midfielder, Leandro Trossard, starred in the 3-0 victory by registering 14 FPL points. The Belgian’s goal and assist were his fourth and sixth of the season respectively.

Everton vs Crystal Palace

Everton have been inconsistent over the season so far and their Burnley made the most of facing them on an off day by beating the Toffees 2-1. One positive was Dominic Calvert-Lewin getting back on the scoresheet for the first time since Gameweek 23. This was the 14th league goal this season for the England International.

Everton will be hoping to bounce back against Crystal Palace this week. However, the Eagles are coming off a 1-0 win over West Brom. Wilf Zaha made his first start after an injury lay off and marked his return by winning the penalty which decided the game.

Wolves vs West Ham

Wolves couldn’t get a result against out-of-form Liverpool in their last match, which ended in a 1-0 defeat. With four games without a win, Wolves are becoming more desperate to pick up points and see out the rest of the season.

West Ham will feel deflated after letting a 3-0 lead slip against Arsenal and settling for a draw. Jesse Lingard’s impressive form was on display again as he delivered a goal and an assist. The midfielder has five goals and three assists from the seven league appearances he’s made for the Hammers.
