Knowing each team’s penalty taker is crucial to success in Fantasy Premier League. Whether a player takes penalties or not often makes the difference between a good pick and one not worth having at all.

Below is the confirmed penalty order for all 20 Premier League clubs, taken directly from the official Fantasy Premier League data and updated every day. Alongside each taker you’ll find their price, ownership, minutes played and how likely they are to start — because a penalty taker on the bench takes no penalties.

Conversion has trended upward across the period, which is part of why penalty takers have become such a prized commodity in FPL. A regular taker converting at around 80% is worth roughly four extra points every time their side wins one.

Where this data comes from

The order above is Fantasy Premier League’s own, published in their official data and pulled through automatically. It is the same information shown in the game itself, so it stays current without anyone updating a spreadsheet.

One caveat worth knowing: it reflects FPL’s judgement rather than what has been observed on the pitch, and they can be slow to revise it after a change. If a club’s second choice takes one and converts, expect the order to catch up rather than lead.

Why the starting chance matters

A penalty taker who doesn’t start takes no penalties. That sounds obvious, but it is the most common way a ‘penalty taker’ pick goes wrong — particularly with rotation-risk forwards and clubs where the first choice is a squad player.

The percentages come from our predicted lineups, updated ahead of every gameweek. Anyone below about 40% is a gamble regardless of where they sit in the penalty order.
