Gameweek 32 Preview

We will be previewing each Fantasy Premier League Gameweek throughout the season. Team fixtures, captain choices and which players to transfer in/out will all be discussed. Here is our FPL Gameweek 32 preview.

Gameweek 32 Fixtures

Gameweek 32 means there are just 7 Gameweeks remaining. On top of preparing for the current and forthcoming Gameweeks, Double Gameweeks now enter the equation also. As a result you will need to strike a balance between selecting players for the short term whilst satisfying Double Gameweek criteria also. For example, Arsenal have a very attractive fixture at home to Stoke in Gameweek 32 but are one of the teams that don’t have a Double Gameweek in 34. Man Utd, who do have a scheduled Double Gameweek, face Swansea at home but travel to face champions-elect Man City in Gameweek 33. Elsewhere, Brighton host Leicester. Normally this wouldn’t be a particularly noteworthy fixture but both teams have an excellent Gameweek 33 fixture and have good Double Gameweek fixtures. Therefore going into this fixture both teams will see lots of transfers in of their players. Another team with a lot of transfers in is Liverpool. This is despite them not having a Double Gameweek. This could be because the majority of casual FPL managers predominantly consider the short term over the long term and/or think Liverpool could once again score three or more goals against Crystal Palace. The biggest fixture of Gameweek 32 is Chelsea vs Tottenham. This is a must win game for Chelsea if they are to stay in the hunt for Champions League entry next season. Both these teams have a Double Gameweek in 34.

Gameweek 32 Captain Choice

There isn’t an overwhelmingly obvious captain choice for Gameweek 32. There are several players that could be considered. We have decided to go with Romelu Lukaku given his certainty to start, recent FPL form and favorable fixture against Swansea.

Romelu Lukaku

Romelu Lukaku started the season on fire for Man Utd scoring 7 goals in his first 7 leagues games. This form naturally dipped resulting in a transfer out exodus. However, he appears to have regained this goal scoring form and has racked up 25 points in his last three matches. The evidence suggests the Belgian striker is as certain as anyone to start which should be a notable factor when deciding on a captain. Man Utd’s opponents for Gameweek 32, Swansea, have been in far better form as of late but nonetheless they remain an extremely attractive fixture for Man Utd.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

This is the first time since Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s arrival we have considered him for our captain choice. The former Dortmund front man has made a good start to his Arsenal career scoring three goals in five league matches. Two of those have come in the last two. Arsenal are at home to Stoke who have the worst goal difference in the Premier League. Consequently Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang comes to the forefront of captaincy options.

Mohamed Salah

Liverpool travel to Crystal Palace for their Gameweek 32 fixture. Crystal Palace have put in good performances against the top 6 teams at home this season and there is no reason why they won’t be resolute again here. However, Mohamed Salah is in the form of his life and is coming off a well documented four goals an assist against Watford. This was a record breaking Fantasy Premier League Gameweek score (29 points). By virtue of this alone he has to be a captain consideration for Gameweek 32.

Players In and Players Out

Here are the top 5 players you should be transferring in and out of your team prior to the Gameweek 32 deadline. If you expect a player to go down after a given Gameweek it is wise to transfer him out early to avoid the likely price decrease. Likewise it is sensible to transfer in a player early that you believe will go up in price before the deadline. These top 5 are based on potential price changes, fixtures and general form. We will also try and offer players from different teams.
