FIFA runs an official Fantasy game alongside every World Cup, and it is a different proposition from the Premier League version — a month of matches, unlimited transfers between rounds, and a squad that can change completely as teams go out.

When is the next World Cup?

Summer 2030, hosted by Spain, Portugal and Morocco, with the opening matches in Uruguay, Argentina and Paraguay to mark the centenary.

Is World Cup Fantasy free?

Yes. FIFA's game is free and needs only an account, the same as Fantasy Premier League.

How is it different from FPL?

Squads change far more often, because teams are eliminated. Transfers are unlimited between rounds rather than one a gameweek, so form matters more than long-term planning.
